LIFE NextFUMIGREEN strengthens its commitment to sustainable agriculture at Transfiere 2025

The European project fosters new partnerships at Spain’s leading R&D&I and technology transfer forum

Málaga, March 14th , 2025 – The European project LIFE NextFUMIGREEN, focused on the development of natural fumigants for sustainable agriculture, played a key role at Transfiere 2025, the leading European forum for R&D&I and technology transfer.

During the event, a strategic meeting took place between Carlos Ramos Hernández, Operations Manager at FumiHogar and project leader, and Juanma Revuelta, CEO of Finnova Foundation, project partner. This meeting reinforced synergies and explored new opportunities for implementing innovative biopesticide solutions.

Málaga, home to FumiHogar, became the epicenter of innovation in agricultural sustainability and biotechnology. Transfiere 2025 provided a crucial platform for connecting with companies, public administrations, and research centers committed to developing environmentally friendly and effective pest control technologies.

The LIFE NextFUMIGREEN project aims to develop plant-based fumigants to combat whitefly and botrytis in greenhouse horticultural crops. With a total budget of €2,758,921.01, 60% co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme, the project seeks to enhance food safety, promote biodiversity, and drive more sustainable agriculture.

The success of LIFE NextFUMIGREEN is made possible through collaboration between key entities specializing in biotechnology and sustainable agriculture:
