The Spanish foundation joined working sessions with the European Commission and shared project materials as part of the S3 Thematic Platform on biosolutions for agriculture
Brussels, 26 June 2025. Tecnova Technology Centre represented the LIFE NextFUMIGREEN project during an intensive working week from June 16 to 20 in Brussels. The activities took place under the framework of the S3 Thematic Platform on Biosolutions for Sustainable Agriculture, coordinated by the Belgian cluster Wagralim.
Carolina Martínez Gaitán, Head of Crop Production and Environment, and Eva Justicia Calderón, Head of R&D Management, took part in several meetings with the European Commission. The delegation presented the project through brochures and a large-format A3 poster, highlighting the value of plant-based solutions for sustainable pest control. TECNOVA also attended the high-level S3 Conference 2025, where they engaged with key players such as CTA – Andalusian Technological Corporation.
LIFE NextFUMIGREEN is a project co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme. Its main goal is to develop natural fumigant biopesticides using plant extracts to control whiteflies and botrytis in greenhouse horticulture. With a total duration of four and a half years and a budget of €2,758,921.01, the initiative promotes food safety, biodiversity, and professional training in sustainable agricultural practices.
The consortium includes: FumiHogar (coordinator), B&B Asesores, Comercial Química Massó, BrioAgro Tech, TECNOVA, and Finnova.
The project is supported by CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.
