LIFE NextFUMIGREEN celebrates International Mother Earth Day with a call to action for environmental sustainability

• The European project LIFE NextFUMIGREEN advocates the use of natural fumigants as a natural alternative to agrochemicals.

Brussels, 22 April 2024. In commemoration of International Mother Earth Day, LIFE NextFUMIGREEN reaffirms its commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and respect for the environment, highlighting the urgency of adopting natural alternatives to agrochemicals.

The LIFE NextFumigreen project, supported by the European Union, is leading the shift towards greener agriculture by developing eco-friendly fumigation methods. These techniques not only protect crops, but also contribute to the health of the planet, reducing the carbon footprint and promoting biodiversity.

LIFE NextFumigreen invites farmers, businesses and consumers to take care of our Mother Earth. According to the United Nations (UN), “Today more than ever we need a shift towards a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet.”
