Brussels, 17 April 2024. The European project LIFE NextFUMIGREEN will hold next Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Brussels time), the event “New cheminal-free agriculture” on the occasion of the European Green Week. A live conference that will allow you to learn about the advantages of using natural fumigants for the environment.
The event will be held from Tecnova’s headquarters in Almeria (Spain), and will also be broadcast online. The presentations will revolve around the European vision of the challenges of agriculture, and specifically, they will address the benefits of the use of natural fumigants for the environment and health. This block will have institutional contributions from the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture. The webinar will also address European funding and the possibility of scaling this project to other European programmes.
With a budget of €2,758,921.01 from European funds, LIFE NextFUMIGREEN is one of the most notable projects that foresees the improvement of food security as a result of residue-free food, and positive effects on biodiversity and climate change. This conference will be a great opportunity to raise awareness of the great opportunities that exist in the European Union.
EU Green Week is an annual event, organised by the European Commission, that promotes and analyses Europe’s environmental policies. The campaign aims to raise awareness and promote positive and collaborative solutions.

The European project LIFE NextFUMIGREEN actively promotes food safety by developing natural smokes from plant extracts to control pests in intensive horticultural crops under greenhouses. With the leadership of Fumihogar and with the collaboration of the Foundation for Auxiliary Technologies of Agriculture, the Finnova Foundation; B&B Environmental Auditor Advisors; Comercial Química Masso and BrioAgro Tech, the project has a total budget of €2,758,921.01, 60% subsidized by the LIFE Program.
